Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The patients with basic-type TXT; age from 5 to 18 years at the time of surgery; best corrected visual acuity in the worse eye 1.0 or better; exodeviation at distance and near between 15 and 60 PD by the prism and alternate cover test (PACT) with appropriate optical correction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with histories of strabismus surgery, amblyopia, anisometropia greater than 1.50 diopters, hyperopia or myopia greater than 5.00D spherical equivalent in either eye, coexisting vertical deviation greater than 5 PD, paralytic or restrictive strabismus, A or V pattern, oblique muscle overaction, ocular disease other than strabismus, congenital anomalies, or neurologic disorders were excluded from the study.
