40 Years to 90 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Male or female outpatients aged from 40 to 90 years; 2. History of cigarette smoking over than 10 pack-years; 3. Stable COPD patients without exacerbation 3 months prior to recruitment; 4. OSA patients without continuous positive airway pressure treatment for at least 3 months; 5. Agree to attend study and sign informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Clinically overt bronchiectasis, lung cancer, active tuberculosis, or other known specific pulmonary disease and a chest X-ray indicating diagnosis other than COPD that might interfere with the study; 2. Suspected or proven thromboemolic diseases, such as cerebral or myocardial infaction, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, etc.; 3. Patients with significant cardiovascular disease (ischemic heart disease, vascular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, aortic aneurysm, heart failure); 4. Patients received systemic steroid 4 weeks prior to the commencement of study.
