Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnostic criteria of western medicine: (1) Coronary heart disease (CHD) can be diagnosed if one or more conditions suit: 1) coronary angiography or coronary CTA confirm that there is at least one main branch of coronary arteries with a stenosis of more than 50%, with or without angina pectoris,heart failure,arrhythmia,or sudden death recovery; 2) Clear evidences can prove that ST-elevation myocardial infarction or NoN-ST-elevation myocardial infarction has happened in the past or at that moment; 3) Comfirmed surgery history of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). (2) According with clinical diagnostic criteria of chronic stable angina pectoris: the degree, frequency, character and inducing factors of angina pectoris have no significant changes in one month: 1) The location of the pain: typical location is after the breastbone or in the left chest. It can also radiate to the neck, pharyngeal, jaw, upper abdomen, shoulder, left arm and the inside of the left finger; 2) The nature of pain: tightness, strangulation, oppressive, burning, chest stuffiness or chest tightness, choking sensation, heaviness and so on. Subjective feeling of individuals differ, while some only feel lassitude and weak; 3) The duration of pain: It's always a paroxysmal attack with a short time, less than 10 minutes in general; 4) Inducement and relieving way: The symptoms are provoked by exertion or emotional stress, which can be relieved by rest or taking nitroglycerin under tongue. 2. Diagnostic criteria of TCM (1) Phlegm and blood stasis syndrome The common symptoms of local lump and pain, numbness or flaccidity and weakness in the body and limbs, chest stuffiness, profuse sputum, blood-streaked phlegm in dark-purple color, a dark-purple tongue or a tongue with ecchymosis and a greasy coating, a wiry and hesitant pulse and so on.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unstable angina of coronary heart disease; 2. other syndromes besides phlegm and blood stasis syndromes.
