Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients who at least 18 years of age and had a diagnosis of CAP were included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. survival for less than 12 hours after admission to EICU; 2. patients or families refused to participate in this study.
