Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients who had been diagnosed with sepsis shock, according to the criteria from the 2012 international guidelines for management of severe sepsis and septic shock.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The criteria for exclusion from the study were an age of less than 18 years, pregnancy, or the presence of an acute cerebral vascular event, acute coronary syndrome, malignant dysrhythmias, status asthmaticus, contraindication to central venous catheterization.
