Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Consecutive patients with clinical stage I NSCLC who undergoing surgical therapy in our team are recruited. The choice of VATS or open procedure was made by recruited patients themselves after consulting their doctors. This study is an observation of two clinically accepted surgical approaches for NSCLC, never interfere clinical strategy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: history of malignancies; receiving surgical or intervene operation in recent 1 year; receiving immune therapy including traditional Chinese medicine within 6 months; concomitant immune-enhancing or immune-suppressing diseases including lupus erythematosus, Crohn's disease, and myathesia gravis; allergic constitution; acquired human immune deficiency syndrome; and any known infection by microorganisms.
