Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.primipara delivered with normal full term singleton whose Apgar score more than 7 (newborns born at 37-42 weeks gestation age, bodyweight more than 2500g, and without abnormalities and diseases); 2.with breastfeeding intention.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. breastfeeding contraindication; 2. adolescent mother aged below 20 years; 3. maternal breast problem which may affect newborns latching, suckling or swallowing including hypoplastic breasts, breast surgery/injury, breast implant, reduction mammoplasty, and sagging breasts; 4. gestational related complications and concurrent medical complications; 5. New born infant diseases or abnormalities with suckling or swallowing problems diagnosed after intervention (cheilopalatognathus, Congenital heart disease); 6. mother and infant separation; 7. non-breastfeeding including totally bottle feeding, artificial feeding or non-biological mother breastfeeding; 8. maternal smoking or pre-pregnant BMI more than 27 kg/m2.
