Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: According to the Chinese surgical obesity treatment guidelines (2007), we select the obese patients who have excessive fat absorption as the participants. (1) identified purely fat absorption and metabolic disorder syndrome,such as type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, lipid metabolism disorders; (2) Waist circumsferece: male >= 90cm, female >= 80cm; the disorder of serum lipids: TG (triglyceride) >= 1.70 mmol/L; and (or) fasting blood HDL-ch (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol): male = 28 kg/m2; (4) Aged 18 to 60 years old; (5) Poorly curative effect of non operation treatment, can not tolerate; (6) No alcohol or drug abuse, no psychiatric disorder, no mental retardation; (7) Patients know the procedure of weight loss surgery, understand and accept the potential operational risk and complications; understand the lifestyle, eating habits postsurgery, and be able to cooperate with the postoperative follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were contraindications for any kind of psychiatric or neurological diseases, previous intestinal surgery, inflammatory intestinal disease, organ dysfunction and a current medication may have affected central nervous system or eating behavior as well as fMRI restrictions. (1) Subjects can not follow the strict compliance with diet and exercise during the study; (2) A current medication may have affected central nervous system or eating behavior; (3) Has myocardial infarction or unstable angina pectoris 3 months prior to the study; (4) Preparation of pregnancy, pregnant women and lactating women; (5) Genetic causes of obesity; (6) Patients with neurological and psychiatric diseases; (7) Patients with dysfunctions of the heart, liver and renal; (8) Receive long-term hormone therapy; (9) Patients with thyroid disease; (10) Patients with adrenal disorders; (11) Patients have hypertensive; (12) Patients with hyperlipidemia; (13) Patients already received weight loss surgery.
