16 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: These patients were recruited from the departments of orthopedics, general surgery, thoracic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, their age ranged from 16 to 80 years, receiving PCA postoperatively after giving informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients signed informed consents before surgery but rejected PCA preoperatively; patients receiving craniofacial surgery (oral, ENT, ophthalmic, and cranio-cerebral operations) and other types of surgeries; patients suffering from intraoperative cardiopulmonary arrest or death; aged from 16 years to 80 years; grade IV of American Society of Anesthesiologists classification; patients with pre-operative psychological diseases and post-operative cognitive disorders.
