Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Candidates to breast conservative treatment according to NCCN; 2. Written informed consent must be signed and dated by the patient and the investigator prior to inclusion; 3. Invasive breast cancer, aged=70 years; 4. The tumor distant from nipple =3cm; 5. T0-T2, single mass; 6. Absence of skin involvement; 7. No hard smoking (hard smoking defined as >20 cigarettes/day); 8. Low and intermediate risk for anesthesia (ASA Scale); 9. BMI = 30 kg/m2; 10. Patients must be accessible for follow-up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Absolute and relative contraindications to NCCN guidelines for breast conservative treatment; Previous thoracic radiation therapy for any reason, Neoadjuvant chemotherapy; Preoperative distant metastasis; Contralateral breast cancer; A history of previous breast cancer or other cancers associated with breast cancer; Inflammatory Breast Cancer; T3-4; Pregnancy; Patients with psychiatric, addictive, or any disorder, which compromises ability to give informed consent for participation in this study; Uncompensated Diabetes Mellitus; Hard smokers; High risk for anesthesia; BMI=30kg/M2; Mass resection outside of our hospital; Tumor located around nipple and areola area; Patients with Level2 technology.
