Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged at least 18 years, of ASA I or II classification, required extraction of a molar because of periodontitis and able to comply with the study procedures.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and lactating women; medication or systemic diseases that would interfere with osseous turnover, long-term exposure to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, chemotherapeutic drugs, taking bisphosphonates for osteoporosis, and immunosuppressive agents; radiotherapy in the head and neck area; absence of adjacent teeth; uncontrolled diabetics(HbAlc>7%); unwillingness to return for the follow-up examination; Teeth with ongoing acute pathology; smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day.
