Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) first onset of stroke, with unilateral paralysis; (2) completely affected posterior limb of internal capsule (destructed corticospinal tract); (3) muscle strength at proximal end of the paralyzed lower limb of level 3 or above, and incapability to perform ankle dorsiflexion; (4) capability to walk for more than 12m independently or with support; (5) aged 35-75 years; (6) willingness to sign informed consent. ;Inclusion criteria: (1) first onset of stroke, with unilateral paralysis; (2) completely affected posterior limb of internal capsule (destructed corticospinal tract); (3) muscle strength at proximal end of the paralyzed lower limb of level 3 or above, and incapability to perform ankle dorsiflexion; (4) capability to walk for more than 12m independently or with support; (5) aged 35-75 years; (6) willingness to sign informed consent. ;Inclusion criteria: (1) first onset of stroke, with unilateral paralysis; (2) completely affected posterior limb of internal capsule (destructed corticospinal tract); (3) muscle strength at proximal end of the paralyzed lower limb of level 3 or above, and incapability to perform ankle dorsiflexion; (4) capability to walk for more than 12m independently or with support; (5) aged 35-75 years; (6) willingness to sign informed consent. ;Inclusion criteria: (1) first onset of stroke, with unilateral paralysis; (2) completely affected posterior limb of internal capsule (destructed corticospinal tract); (3) muscle strength at proximal end of the paralyzed lower limb of level 3 or above, and incapability to perform ankle dorsiflexion; (4) capability to walk for more than 12m independently or with support; (5) aged 35-75 years; (6) willingness to sign informed consent. ;Inclusion criteria: (1) first onset of stroke, with unilateral paralysis; (2) completely affected posterior limb of internal capsule (destructed corticospinal tract); (3) muscle strength at proximal end of the paralyzed lower limb of level 3 or above, and incapability to perform ankle dorsiflexion; (4) capability to walk for more than 12m independently or with support; (5) aged 35-75 years; (6) willingness to sign informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) suffered from serious pain in the lower limbs; (2) had serious cognitive or psychological barriers; (3) suffered from serious spasm in their lower limbs (Lower limb spasticity > 3 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)); (4) had unstable medical condition. ;Exclusion criteria: (1) suffered from serious pain in the lower limbs; (2) had serious cognitive or psychological barriers; (3) suffered from serious spasm in their lower limbs (Lower limb spasticity > 3 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)); (4) had unstable medical condition. ;Exclusion criteria: (1) suffered from serious pain in the lower limbs; (2) had serious cognitive or psychological barriers; (3) suffered from serious spasm in their lower limbs (Lower limb spasticity > 3 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)); (4) had unstable medical condition. ;Exclusion criteria: (1) suffered from serious pain in the lower limbs; (2) had serious cognitive or psychological barriers; (3) suffered from serious spasm in their lower limbs (Lower limb spasticity > 3 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)); (4) had unstable medical condition. ;Exclusion criteria: (1) suffered from serious pain in the lower limbs; (2) had serious cognitive or psychological barriers; (3) suffered from serious spasm in their lower limbs (Lower limb spasticity > 3 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)); (4) had unstable medical condition.
