Case series:Hypofrationated simultaneous integrated boost radiation therapy in 10 fractions

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Primary tumors have been diagnosed by pathology; (2) The patient must have localized spine metastases from C1 to L5 levels and diagnosed by image examinations (such as PET-CT, MRI, bone scintigraphy and CT); (3) The patient is expected to survive more than 6 months; (4) No more than 3 contiguous spine levels involved; (5) Patients can be recruited with other visceral metastases; (6) There is a 0 to 3-mm gap between the metastatic tumor and the cord; (7) Epidural compression is eligible, but patients have mild to moderate neurological signs and 4-5 grade muscle strength in the involved extremity; (8) ECOG Performance Status 0-2; (9) Aged at least 18 years; (10) Clinical and auxiliary examination data are integrated; (11) No contra-indications for spine MRI.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) The primary tumor is myeloma or lymphoma; (2) spine instability; (3) Compression fracture has been occured; (4) Prior radiation to the involved spine.
