45 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: COPD group: 1) Chinese male or female outpatients aged 45 to 85 years; 2) Patients with a diagnosis of COPD, defined as 2013 GOLD guideline: Postbronchodilation FEV1/FVC ratio of <70%; 3) Patients who must be able to converse in and read. Patients who must also understand the study and give informed consent; Control group: 1) Over the same period, Patients without COPD; 2) Patients who must be able to converse in and read. Patients who must also understand the study and give informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cerebrovascular disease; 2. Intracranial infection and cerebral trauma; 3. Epilepsia; 4. Demyelinating disease of central nervous system; 5. Psychiatric disorders; 6. With severe disease such as heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure and tumour; 7. Patients with congenital mentally handicapped, illiteracy, and 8. Patients with concurrent respiratory disorders (e.g. asthma) other than COPD.
