Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study group: Hospitalized patients with first episode of symptomatic venous thromboembolism. Control: Hospitalized patients who received temporary pacemaker with Wells scores less than 1.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of allergy to contrast, severe liver or/and kidney dysfunction, symptoms or signs of portal hypertension, high risk of bleeding or body temperature greater than 39? were excluded.
