Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cerebral digital subtraction contrast angiography (DSA) that revealed severe stenosis or occlusion of the distal internal carotid or proximal middle andanterior cerebral arteries with prominent lenticulostriate moyamoya collaterals.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients complicated with arteriosclerosis, auto-immune diseases, brain tumor, head injury, post-irradiation, von Recklinghausens disease, Downs syndrome, etc.
