18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: IBD group Patients aged =18 with a diagnosis of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis defined by endoscopy, radiology and histology, and informed consent obtained; Healthy control: aged =18 and undergo colonoscopy for Health examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: IBD group: Biological information database 1.significant hepatic, renal, endocrine, respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, autism or tumor as determined by the principal investigator; 2.current infection with an enteric pathogen, Intestinal amoebiasis, intestinal schistosomiasis, intestinal tuberculosis; 3.pregnancy or lactation; Sample collection (Beside the above mentioned items) 1.use of antibiotics within the last month; 2.consumption of any probiotic, prebiotic oryoghurt within the last month, clyster within the last month; 3.BMI>25; 4.participation in other experimental studies; 5.previous proctocolectomy; 6.short bowel syndrome; 7.imminent need for surgery. Healthy Control group: 1.histories of abdomen surgery and significant trauma; 2.pregnancy or lactation; 3.BMI>25; 4.use of antibiotics within the last month,consumption of any probiotic , prebiotic oryoghurt within the last month, clyster within the last month; 5.previously been diagnosed with IBD.
