Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients had newly diagnosed generalized MG. A clinical diagnosis of MG had to be supported by at least one of the following: a positive acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody assay (AChR-Ab-positive), positive intra-muscular neostigmine test or > 10% decrement on 2-Hz repetitive nerve stimulation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were considered ineligible if any of the following were present: those with MG confined to the uncontrolled thyroid disease or additional polymyositis, or subjects with hepatitis B or HIV infections; Patients who have been treated with steroid hormone and immune inhibitor; the pregnancy or lactation women, congestive heart failure (American Heart Association Classification III or IV), more than 2 times normal ALT, renal insufficiency (creatinine >2.0 mg/dl), a hematopoietic system and endocrine system primary disease; psychiatric patients
