Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In order to be eligible for participation in this study, subjects must meet the following criteria: 1. Male or female subjects 18 years of age, but not more than 60 years of age at the time of enrollment; 2. Subjects of the Han nationality are all from the north areas of China; 3. Must be able to provide signed and dated informed consent; 4. Subjects willing and able to provide biopsies from gastric mucosa; 5. Gastroscopy and histopathology confirm non-cardia gastric cancer or gastric polyps for the first time; 6. Gastroscopy and histopathology confirm the normal gastric mucosa of the healthy subjects at the time of enrollment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any subject who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in this study: 1. Use of any of the following drugs within the last 3 months: (1) systemic antibiotics; (2) corticosteroids; (3) cytokines; (4) methotrexate or immunosuppressive cytotoxic agents; (5) large doses of commercial probiotics consumed; 2. Acute disease at the time of enrollment; 3. Chronic, clinically significant pulmonary, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, hepatic or renal functional abnormality, as determined by medical history or physical examination; 4. Unstable dietary history; 5. Recent history of chronic alcohol consumption and smoking; 6. Positive test for HIV, HBV or HCV; 7. History of major surgery; 8. Female who is pregnant or lactating.
