Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) According to Rome III criteria, patients must have one or more of following symptoms for at least 3 months with symptom onset at least 6months previously: bothersome postprandial fullness, early satiation, epigastric pain, epigastric burning with no evidence of structural disease, including the use of upper endoscopy, which is likely to explain the symptoms; (2) chronic atrophic gastritis diagnosis was made by both upper endoscopy (Kimura–Takemoto classification system) and pathology (Updated Sydney System in 1996).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. gastric ulcer, bleeding, tumor. All subjects have used antibiotics at least 1 week before endoscopy. 2. Use of probiotics, proton pump inhibitors and antisecretory medication had to be stopped at least 3 weeks prior to endoscopy.
