Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newly diagnosed T2DM patients with PCOS were included in this study. The PCOS diagnosis was based on the Rotterdam Criteria (2003) and T2DM was diagnosed by World Health Organization criteria (1998).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Except for a history of coronary heart disease, abnormal renal function, active liver disease, chronic metabolic acidosis, chronic inflammatory disease or severe chronic gastrointestinal disease.
