Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Approved by the hospital Ethics Committee and signed informed consent; 2. Patients expected to undergo esophagectomy, aged from 60 to 75 years; 3. American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status from 1 to 3.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe functional heart, lung, brain or kidney disease; 2. A history of severe arrhythmia; 3. A history of severe allergy; 4. Preoperative chemoradiotherapy; 5. Severe malnutrition; 6. Perioperative treatment with steroids and/or NSAIDs in 3 weeks; 7. Patient rejection.
