Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) To be classified as grade C or D according to AIS; (2) To be injured at least 6 months prior to enrollment; (3) To be aged 18–70 years old; (4) had sustained injury to the spinal cord at or rostral to T12 spinal cord,the T10(vertebral) level; (5) To be able to rise to standing from a seated position with no more than moderate assistance, and independently advance a few steps without using orthoses or walkers; (6) received medical clearance from the study physician(assessment of general health and bilateral hip/knee radiographs to rule out significant pathology, e.g. significant osteoarthritis; heterotopic ossification; joint subluxation).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) degenerative myelopathy, neoplasm, or congenital spinal cord anomalies; (2) prior core stability training with a sling; (3) the need for lower extremity orthoses for standing and walking; and (4) the ability to jog or run; (5) serious systemic diseases; peripheral nerve impairment; pathology of four extremities(such as serious degenerative osteoarthritis, heterotopic ossification, joint subluxation).
