Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients are those admitted from acute care facilities to the stroke rehabilitation unit within 2 weeks of stroke; 2. 25 to 85 years of age; 3. completed ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke confirmed by a neurologist based on history of sudden onset of a neurological deficit lasting 24 hours, neurological deficit on physical examination, and brain lesion compatible with the neurological deficit on computerized tomography or MRI; 4. ability to follow simple commands in Chinese; 5. competency to provide informed consent; and 6. OSA on an overnight attended polysomnogram (PSG) as described.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. previously diagnosed OSA on therapy; 2. concomitant central nervous system diseases such as dementia; 3. history of psychosis; 4. traumatic brain injury; and 5. anosagnosia or aphasia; 6. life expectancy < 6 months; 7. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; 8. pregnant.
