Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pediatric patients aged 1–12 years with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status III who were scheduled to undergo elective intracranial tumor resection.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: known preoperative coagulation disorders, renal diseases or plasma creatinine concentration > 1.5 mg/dL; known liver diseases or increased plasma levels of alanine aminotransferase (>50 U/L) or aspartate aminotransferase (>50 U/L); and taking coumarin anticoagulants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, acetylsalicylic acid, or colloid management within the previous 2 weeks.
