Magnesium sulfate group:Intra-articular injection of 2ml 5% Magnesium sulfate

40 Years to 79 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Definite calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease using the McCarty diagnostic criteria; 2. Recurrent arthritis (pseudogout) (at least three flares/six months) in the target knee.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergic to the agents; 2. A diagnosis of an alternative rheumatic condition: rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout et al.; 3. Calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease in bilateral knee; 4. Any acute or chronic infection of the target knee; 5. Serious illness of the heart, lung, and other vital organs.
