Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 90 American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I-II patients aged between 21 - 40 years scheduled for elective lower segment cesarean section were enrolled after signing their informed written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were patients refusal, a history of long-term opioid consumption, severe pregnancy induced hypertension, history of allergy to any of the study medications.
