Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 90 pediatric patients, ASA class of I and II, weight 10kg-30kg and aged 3-7, who were scheduled for a short surgical procedure were enrolled

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. children weight greater than 30kg or more than standard weight 20%; 2. children with neuromuscular diseases or psychiatric disorders; 3. hyper-reactive airway disease, asthma or difficult airway; 4. full stomach or risk of regurgitation and aspiration; 5. allergic to egg or milk; 6. children taking sedative drugs within 24h before entering the operating room; 7. children without the upper extremity venous pathway.
