Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. ischemic infarct within the left middle cerebral artery territory by CT or MRI confirmed; 2. first-time stroke, 1 to months after stroke onset; 3. global aphasia assessed with the Western Aphasia Battery (WAB); 4. aged between 40 and 75 years old; 5. native Chinese speaker; 6. above primary school education; 7. premorbidly right-handed; 8. normal language function before stroke; 9. each subject signed a consent before participation in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. visual, auditory disorders affecting the language evaluation and treatment; 2. severe cognitive dysfunction, not with the inspection and rehabilitation training; 3. previous language disorders or complicated with severe dysarthria; 4. degenerative diseases of the nervous system such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, motor neuron disease, result to speech disorder; 5. epilepsy, and drug abuse or mental disease; 6. body with metal foreign bodies or other implanted electronic devices.
