65 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age>=65; 2. all genders; 3. ASA grade >=III; 4. low energy traumatic hip fracture; 5. asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); 6. had either known CAD (as indicated by previous myocardial infarction, typical angina, atypical angina with positive stress test results, or angiographic or scintigraphic evidence of CAD), or were at high risk for CAD (the patient had at least two of the following cardiac risk factors: age >=65, hypertension, current smoking, serum cholesterol level 240 mg/dl, and dia-betes mellitus).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pathological fracture or combined with other parts of the fracture; 2. Patients with dementia or cognitive impairment; 3. known allergy to any of the study drugs; 4. presence of contraindications to fascia iliac compartment block; 5. presence of contraindications to epidural analgesia; 6. acute coronary insufficiency; 7. known pulmonary infection before hospitalization; 8. BMI>35 or BMI<18 kg/m2.
