Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 180 adult patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status 1-2, aged 18 to 75 yrs, scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia requiring the orotracheal intubation, were included in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: An anticipated difficult airway, acute respiratory tract diseases, otorhinolaryngologic surgery, neurosurgery, and expected duration of surgery of longer than 240 min.
