Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis; 2. Aged ten years and older; 3. Risser 0-2; 4. Primary curve magnitude of Cobb angle 25-40 degree; 5. A curve that is progressive (has increased by more than 5 degrees); 6. No prior treatment; 7. If female, either pre-menstrual or less than 1 year post-menstrual; 8. All patients, regardless of subjective reports on compliance, should be included in the results.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with non-idiopathic scoliosis; 2. Patients with skeletal maturity will be excluded. Skeletal maturity should be considered achieved when <1 cm change in standing height has occurred on measurements made on 2 consecutive visits 6 months apart. If standing height measurements have not been obtained, skeletal maturity will be considered achieved when Risser 4 is present and, in females, when the patient is 2 years after menarche; 3. Patients with contraindications of exercise or brace wearing will be excluded; 4. Patients with congnitive disorder can not finish the SRS-22 questionnaire independently.
