65 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA(American Society of Anesthesiologists) physical status I-III; To be aged between 65 to 80 years; Duration of postoperative stay in SICU (Surgery Intensive Care Unit) more than 3 days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Someone allergic to dexmedetomidine or other alpha 2-adrenergic receptor agonist; Severe hypotension occurred during the intraoperative or postoperative recovery period and vasoactive drugs to maintain blood pressure were needed; Preoperative or intraoperative ECG (electrocardiogram) prompted severe bradycardia (HR <50 beats / min) or conduction block; History of CNS, such as brain injury, stroke, neurosurgery and so on; History of mental illness; MMSE (the Mini-Mental State Examination) score<24 or dementia due to various etiologies; History of endocrine and metabolic disorders; History of inflammatory diseases; Recent acceptance of glucocorticoids, cytokines or anti-cytokine therapy; Alcohol or drug dependence; Unwilling to complete the experiment processes or Language barriers; Severe hearing or visual impairment; Illiteracy.
