Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 37-62 years old; 2. American Socity of Anesthesiologists physician status (ASA)II to III; 3. all patients were scheduled for mitral valve replacement performed via conventional cardiopulmonary bypass.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with suffering from cancer, liver and kidney dysfunction, taking immunosuppressants, cytotoxic drugs, hormone replacement therapy were excluded from this study. Patients usingaspirin, warfarin and heparin before surgery were also excluded.
