Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Conform to the DSM-IV TR depressive episode - diagnostic criteria and Gan stagnation criteria; 2. The score for 24-item Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) is 20 or higher; 3. All genders, to be aged 18 to 45 years; 4. No antidepressant drugs (including western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine) and other psychiatric drugs are used at least 1 week before the treatment. Or has been used but cleaning at least 1 week. After two different types of antidepressants at least more than 6 weeks, nearly a week is invalid, can be included maintaining the original drug dosage; 5. Duration for over 2 weeks; 6. right-handed; 7. No contraindications for MRI scans; 8. Pass the ethical committee and all volunteers signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient who has a history of schizophrenia, alcohol and drug dependence; 2. Patient who has a history of brain organic diseases and endocrine diseases; 3. The score of suicide item for 24-item Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) is 3 or over; 4. The examination of blood picture, cardiac, hepatic and renal function is abnormal; 5. Pregnancy and lactation women; Patient who has a history of mania or hypomania episodes.
