Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Men and women aged 40 to 75 years old; 2. Noncalcified plaque are observed by ultrasound imaging technology; 3. The patient agreed to participate in the test, signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. With the history of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or carotid endarterectomy; 2. With the history of recent myocardial infarction or apoplexy within half year; 3. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (fasting glucose greater than 7mmol/L), or hypertention(systolic blood pressure greater than 150mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure greater than 90 mmHg); 4. Familial hypercholesterolemia; 5. Polyarteritis; 6.Pregnant or breast-feeding women, or women planning to become pregnant within one year, or women without effective contraceptive method in child bearing period; 7. Dysfunction of liver (relative index elevation, three times the upper limit of normal values of our laboratory), and kidney (the value of creatinine greater than 2 mg/dl); 8. Presence of other clinical condition, including repiratory disease, digestive disease, hematological disease, infection, immunologically mediated disease, endocrinic disease, neuropathy, psychotic disorders, neoplasms, or condition has risk to harm to the patients; 9. Reciept of any other investigational treatment of tranditional Chinese drug within 12 months prior to baseline visit.
