Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 60 patients, aged20–50 yr, with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I-II, scheduled to undergo gynecological laparoscopic operation.The open operations include hysteromyomectomy andhysterectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? immediate extubation was not planned after surgery; ? took analgesics regularly or had used opioids within 12h of surgery; ? unable to comprehend visual analoge scale(VAS); ? had a history of alcohol or drug abuse, psychiatric disorder, obesity (>130% of ideal body weight); ? had chronic inflammatory disease; ? intraoperative changeover from laparoscopic to open. ? age younger than 18yr; ? had a condition, such as severe hypertension, acute cardiovascular disorder, or a psychiatric disorder, for which the use gabapentin was contraindicated; ? was allergic to gabapentin or any medicine that used in the surgery; ? Liver andkidney deficiency.
