Conditions

lung collapse

Interventions

conventional OLV group:clamping the tube to the non-ventilated lung and open the distal port to atmosphere just before the pleural incision
early OLV group:clamping the tube to the non-ventilated lung immediately after the patient turned to the lateral position and open the distal port to atmosphere just before the pleural incision

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients sheduled for selected thorascopic surgery; 2. ASA I-II; 3. Aged 18-65 years old; 4. BMI18-25.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pneumothorax or using artificial penumothorax; 2. Airway lesions or stenosis that could affect ventilation; 3. Expected difficult intubation; 4. Expected profuse airway secretion; 5. Pleural adhesion or past thoracic surgery; 6. BMI at more than 35.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The duaration of time from the incision of pleura to satisfactory lung deflation (verbal rating scale = 8);

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
the lung collapse scale at 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 min after pleural opening using a verbal rating scale from 0 (no lung deflation) up to 10 (complete collapse).;Arterial blood gases were obtained preoperatively while patients were breathing room air, and at 0, 20, 40 min after pleural incision.;incidence of hypoxemia (SPO2<90%) and the need for CPAP;
