Sham acupuncture:acupuncture in acupoints with no Deqi sensation

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) aged 18 to 65 years old, conforms to the diagnosis of cervical disease with neck pain as main complaint; 2) showing neck pain and stiff feeling attack once a month in recent 3 months; 3) VAS>3; 4) cervical x-ray complying with the diagnosis of cervical disease or MRI or CT showing cervical degeneration or cervical disc herniation; 4) no acupuncture treatment for cervical spondylosis in recent 3 months; 5) understanding and signing informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) other types of cervical disease; cervical fracture, dislocation, articular tuberculosis, tumor; acute and severe visceral organ disease, pregnant and parturient; 2) receiving other relevant treatment with the possibility of affecting index of this study, such as cervical decompression surgery; 3) with life-threatening primary disease including liver, kidney and hematopoietic system and psychiatric patients.
