1:Posterior cranial fossa decompression(2X3cm area including posterior arch of atlas and foramen magnum)+ “Y”-type dural opening+ cerebellar tonsil resection and arachnoid adhesion release+ dural plas
2:Posterior cranial fossa decompression(2X3cm area including posterior arch of atlas and foramen magnum)+ “Y”-type dural opening and dural plasty

18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Chiari?malformation confirmed by MR imaging, have corresponding clinical symptoms and signs; 2. Male and female aged from 18-70 years; 3. Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Congenital diseases, psychotic or neurotic diseases, serious diseases of heart, lung, liver or kidney; 2. Other Chiari malformations, or Chiari ?malformations combined with basilar invagination, atlantoaxial dislocation or scoliosis; 3. Other cervical diseases(such as tumor, trauma and degeneration) resulted in cervical pain, limbs numbness or weekness, sphincter disturbance or sexual dysfunction; 4. Recently(<3y) drug using or psychological problems that could affect outcome; 5. Attned other clinical trials in last 3 months; 6. Pregnant women.
