Cesarean Section

Interventions

Early Feeding:Liquid 250cc (water, tea, coffee, tetra pack milk, canned juice) 2 hours after the surgery. Solid diet will be allowed after one hour of the liquid diet.
Delayed Feeding:Liquid diet will be allowed after 6 – 12 hours of the surgery and solid diet will be started after 12 – 18 hours of surgery.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Women consenting for the study; 2. Delivery via low segment C-Section at term; 3. No obstetric, medical or surgical co-morbidity; 4. Those who bear out of pocket expenditure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Vaginal births; 2. Women who are insured or paid by third party.
