Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. According to American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria for knee osteoarthritis; 2. postmenopausal women; 3. aged between 50 and 70 years; 4. KelIgren-Lawrence grade rating of I, II and III; 5. Not receiving corticosteroids for more than six months; 5. Not receiving NSAIDs, intraarticular hyaluronan, and other treatment for more than two weeks; 6. no history of knee trauma, meniscus and ligament damage; 7. To be able to attend intervention sessions.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Rheumatoid and rheumatic arthritis, infectional arthritis, gouty arthritis diseases; 2. Patients with severe cardiovascular, cerebral, hepatic, renal, hemopoietic diseases; 3. Patients with knee skin ulceration and infections, serious operation or traumatic scar, joint local malignant tumor and joint replacement; 4. Knee pain and disfunction caused by other diseases; 5. Patients with connective tissue disease (e.g.SLE); 6. Patients has adverse reactions to acupuncture or unwilling to accept acupuncture treatment; 7. Patients with mental diseases.
