Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients diagnosed esophageal cancer, with no distant metastasis; 2. the NRS2002 score before surgery: <3; 3. no preoperative chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients having not accepted esophagectomy; 2. intolerate to enteral nutrition; 3. surgical complications, such as chylothorax, intestinal obstruction and anastomotic leak, or reoperation; 4. hepatic renal dysfunctions, such as liver cirrhosis and renal insufficiency, diabetes.
