Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) To be diagnosed with cancer; (2) aware of their diagnosis; (3) aged 18 or older; (4) without cognitive or verbal communication impairments; (5) willing to participate; (6) KPS=40%; (7) living in Fuzhou.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) currently taking anxiolytics and antidepressants; (2) receiving other psychotherapeutic treatment; (3) serious event such as divorce bereavement within one month; (4) currently taking hormone drug; (5) diagnosed with hypercortisolism; (6) diagnosed with other diseases which influence the level of salivary cortisol.
