Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Sixty one patients classified as American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I to II and ages 20 to 65 years who had selective gastrointestinal endoscopy in February 2017 in our hospital were recruited.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with age 65 years old; Patients with a history of swallowing disorders and retention of nasal feeding; Pregnant patients; Patients with lung disease SpO2 <95% or needing oxygen; Patients with neurological diseases, mental illness,history of using antidepressants or type I diabetes Patients with ASA = IV, history of tracheotomy, otorhinolaryngology or radiotherapy and mouth, pharynx, esophageal cancer surgery ; Patients with major glottic abnormalities (eg, bilateral vocal cord paralysis, malignant or benign laryngeal tumors protruding on the glottis surface
