Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Aged = 60 years, with ASA I and II and TNM stage II and III tumors, who had received neoadjuvant chemotherapy and who were scheduled to undergo radical resection for esophageal cancer under one lung ventilation, will be recruited.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any significant cardiovascular or pulmonary disease, a history of central nervous system disease, serious hearing or visual impairment, or any communication impediment, any history of antipsychotic drug administration within 6 months, lower than a secondary education level, and a preoperative mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score of<23
