Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients between the age of 16 and 85 years who underwent liver resection were enrolled. The inclusion criteria were: (1) Partial hepatectomy or half liver resection; (2) Body mass index of between 18 and 35; (3) If patients were diagnosed with tumors, tumors either in the right or left lobe; (4) Child-Pugh Class A/B liver functional status; (5) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grading of I to III; (6) No major concomitant surgical procedures, such as bowel or bile duct resection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Pregnant or lactating women; (2) Unwillingness to participate; (3) Inability to give written informed consent; (4) Child-Pugh classification of C; (5) ASA grading of IV to V; (6) Tumor invasion of the inferior vena cava or confluence part of hepatic vein.
