Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. menstrual abnormalities (irregular uterine bleeding, oligomenorrhea, or amenorrhea) combined with either hyperandrogenism or polycystic ovaries, as validated in our Chinese population; 2. Polycystic ovaries were defined as the presence of either an ovary containing 12 or more antral follicles measuring 2 to 9 mm in diameter or an increased ovarian volume (>10 cm3); 3. Hyperandrogenism was diagnosed on the basis of either hirsutism or hyper-androgenemia; Other causes of hyperandrogenism and ovulation dysfunction including tumors, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hyperprolactinemia, and thyroid dysfunction will be ruled out.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Fallopian tube effusion; 2. recurrent spontaneous abortion (defined as three or more previous spontaneous pregnancy losses); 3. congenital or acquired uterine malformations
