Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. First-ever stroke confirmed by CT or MR; 2. At least 30 days to one year after stroke onset; 3. People aged = 18 years old; 4. Baseline MAS=1; 5. Willing to participate and be randomized to one of the study groups.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Have another disease that could account for spasticity, such as multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, et al.; 2. Severe and unstable physical illnesses, such as disorders of consciousness, dyspnoea, acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, acute renal failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, as well as any other critical conditions or acute stage of disorders; 3. Could not follow or response to treatment instructions; 4. Lactation, pregnancy or intend to be pregnant within 6 months; 5. Pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) carriers; 6. Currently enrolled in another clinical trial; 7. Patients with needle phobia.
