CSII group:CSII group received human insulin with an insulin pump
MDI group:Patients in the MDI group were treated with pre-meal insulin, and long-acting insulin at bedtime.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes, according to WHO diagnostic criteria (1999), who had not received previous antihyperglycaemic therapy, were enrolled from our hospital between January, 2017, and January,2018. The patients, aged 18-60 years, had levels of HbAlc great than or equal to 9.0%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were circulating islet cell antibodies; diabetic ketosis; recent acute illness; or concomitant chronic disease, including kidney, liver, and cardiovascular disease. T2DM patients who were treated with oral hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic and/or antihypertensive agents were also excluded to avoid the possible confounding effects of medications
